Beer + Yoga at Optimism

  • Optimism 1158 Broadway Seattle, WA, 98122 United States (map)

The morning begins with an hour long, all levels, Yoga practice. Immediately following our practice we will move to the bar for 12oz of your favorite Optimism brew. Leave your worries at the door, get your body in motion, taste some of Seattle's finest craft beers, and get to know your community.

About the Venue: Optimisim was founded by husband and wife Troy Hakala and Gay Gilmore, they opened the doors and served their first beer in the Capitol Hill neighborhood on December 5, 2015 (the anniversary of the Repeal of Prohibition). They believe "Beer is big, beer is important, beer deserves a large space" and boy oh boy do they have a large beautifully designed space. Kid and dog friendly, this is the perfect space to join your community for a beer.

About the Instructor: Lizzie is a Seattle yoga instructor and blogger. She came to yoga after a slew of injuries from her D1 rowing days left her achey and in need of a new physical challenge. The effect it had on her inspired her to teach. So, she became certified and has never looked back. Lizzie's classes tend to be athletic, goofy, challenging, and invigorating. When she's not chugging coffee or taking pictures of her dog, you can find Lizzie teaching at Breathe Hot Yoga on Capitol Hill.
